Hey guys I don’t know what happened to this post but here it is again. This was the first picture taken of Anna-belle here in Cape Town by the lovely Antonia Steyn

This is how I found Lindiwe.

I was looking for someone, a local celebrity to perhaps wear Anna-belle at our opening. So I started searching. We were looking for someone who would suit our brand. So I google’d Lindiwe and I went to her website. I clicked on her music and listened to her first song. Please go and listen to it. It is about a GPS and her tracking someone. What a coincidence. I called her up and she said yes, she would love to be a part of this whole thing. What a small world. Thank you Lindiwe Suttle for making our opening so special. Tonight is the night Stefania and I have to make a speech. Stefania is nervous but why am I the one with the migraine? I hope I remember to thank everyone involved.

The new shop is open today but there is a million and one little things still to do before the party tonight.

On Saturday we put the change room curtains up and we didn’t like them at all. So today Stefania quickly went to buy fabric, the ladies and Stephan in the work room must have steam coming out their machines not to mention their ears.

Telkom has yet to show up. The huge windows still need cleaning. Anna-belle needs some tweeking as well as a travel bag. Lindiwe Suttle is coming in at any time looking for an outfit for tonight as well as setting up her band somewhere in the shop, the wine is going to be delivered at some time and requires 5 hours chilling and so on and so on.

It has been a crazy couple of moths and I think I can speak for the whole team as well as for Stefania in saying that we all need a nice long holiday.

Tonight is going to be amazing, I hope. Tomorrow I will be putting up all the information about Anna-belle for everyone to see.

Time is ticking and we are almost ready for the doors to open @ 15 on Orange. We have an exciting line up planed for Monday 6 Sep at 6pm. There will be snacks and drinks and perhaps even a song or two sung by lovely Lindiwe Suttle. How exciting! Not to mention that Anna-belle will be making her day beau on the night as well. We have some exciting new partners on board who believe in Anna-belle and what she stands for. Also thank you once again to everyone’s kind words about our recent fashion show. It is nice to know that people appreciate what Stefania Morland and team are doing.

Hey I’m back guys and here to stay. So, you might have heard that we are moving shop. We will be operating from 15 on Orange in Cape Town from 1 September 2010 . Before that however it is CT Fashion week again. 14 August we will be showing our Spring/Summer 2010/11 collection in Cape Town so if you want to attend drop me a line at tickets@stefaniamorland.com

Currently we are working hard at putting the collection together, getting the fit perfect and scrutinizing everything. We are also trying to cut costs without taking the specialness out of the brand, writing press releases and deciding who to invite and who gets to sit in the front row. Very sensitive stuff!

So, Stefania Morland and I went to Malta (an island between Africa and Europe) in May for two weeks. We were providing clothing for a local South African Jewelry catalogue. We got to see and explore this beautiful island and enjoy the aqua blue waters, colorful little boats and biblically old history then last but not least the centuries old buildings and architecture.

We loved the great Italian cuisine we came across. We went to the same restaurant two nights in a row and had to stop ourselves from going there a third night.

Jipee we won the Audi at the prestigious Audi JHB Fashion week! I hope that doesn’t sound too pretentious. We won!we won! Jipee! Jipee ! Pretty soon you will see Stefania Morland zipping around CT with her new Audi. Maybe she will even let me sit in it for just a little while so that I tickle my nostrils with new car smell. Ahh…

Ok, Seriously. We want to say thank you to everyone who made this all possible. Please don’t make me name everyone because I am bound to forget to mention a view key people. You guys know who you are. MWA to all of you.

Now we have a new person on board and we love, love, love her. We are a bunch of crazies all thrown together, making beautiful things while having fun, fun, fun.
Her name is Stephanie Anastasopoulos. I will have a picture of her soon.

We also did a shoot with Gerda Genis of Stefania, Shana and I. It was quite strange we had make up done by this amazing make-up artist and she did wonders let me tell you. We had profile pictures taken of the three of us. My hair was made straight weird. Shana and Stefania look beautiful.

I am back from my very, very long holiday. For those who really want to know what I have been up to, drop me a line and I will elaborate.

Let me just update all of you on the happenings at the shop since I last wrote on the blog.

I went up to JHB again to do a top secret shoot with some really talented people at the most amazing venue. I will put some of the pics on for you to have a look.

I had lots of fun with the smoke machine and it was also quite fun to try and come up with more than 3 ways to wear one garment. I think we had to take +/- 60 different pictures, all using our summer range. Needless to say we had to take up quite a few boxes of clothing and stretch our imagination.

We also had a break-in at the shop. Hooligans stormed down the door and in 60 seconds took a whole rail of clothing, jewelry sunglasses (beautiful from Extreme Eyewear for the upcoming fashion show, shoes and our big screen TV. This was the second time it happened and we think it was the same people. We are just happy that it happened while we were out of the shop. In the mean time we have made some good alterations to the shop and I doubt that they will be able to come in ever again.
